NextMe Helps Ubiquity Turn Its VIP Salon at Money20/20 into a Magnet for Enterprise Buyers

Money20/20 USA, held at the Venetian in Las Vegas from October 18 to 21, 2026, drew more than 11,000 senior attendees from over 3,400 companies, with roughly one in three holding a C-suite title. Sponsor Ubiquity wanted more than booth traffic at a show like that. It wanted real time with the right people. Its VIP Salon, a premium salon experience built with go MLR, offered stylist and barber services to high-value attendees, VIP speakers, and strategic accounts. NextMe powered a hybrid virtual queue that let guests scan a QR code, pick a priority time window, and get a text when it was nearly their turn. Over 300 guests booked, 106 were served in the salon, and the activation generated more RFPs than Ubiquity has received at any previous conference. It was also named a top 3 activation at Money20/20.

The challenge

At a show with more than 380 sponsors competing for attention, Ubiquity needed a stronger call to action than “stop by our booth.”

  • Reaching the right people. Ubiquity’s goal was intentional time with enterprise decision makers, VIP speakers, and strategic accounts, not a general walk-up crowd that would dilute those conversations.
  • Respecting senior attendees’ time. Executives at Money20/20 arrive with calendars full of sessions, partner meetings, and dinners. Few of them will stand in a line for a service, no matter how premium it is.
  • Standing out on a crowded show floor. A memorable service experience draws attention, but a long line at the booth works against the very audience Ubiquity most wanted to meet.

The solution

NextMe gave Ubiquity a hybrid virtual queue that turned the salon into a scheduled, invitation-style experience instead of a walk-up line.

  • Join in seconds, no app required. Guests scanned a QR code with their phones, picked a time window that worked for them, and received a text confirming their priority slot at the booth.
  • A text when it was time. NextMe texted guests as their window neared, with a reminder on the day of their visit, so they could keep exploring the show instead of waiting at the booth.
  • A branded waiting room. While guests waited, the Virtual Waiting Room showed their place in line on a page branded for Ubiquity, keeping the sponsor present between sign-up and service.

The results

The VIP Salon put Ubiquity in front of enterprise buyers one conversation at a time, and the results showed that quality mattered more than volume.

  • More RFPs than at any previous conference. Conversations that started in the salon chair turned into more RFPs submitted than Ubiquity has received from any prior conference.
  • Over 300 enterprise guests booked, and 106 served one on one. Every guest served had a face-to-face conversation with a high-value prospect, not a badge scan.
  • Nearly 300 unique business emails, all opted in. Every guest who joined the queue opted in to marketing, giving Ubiquity a permissioned list of enterprise contacts to follow up with.
  • Named a top 3 activation at Money20/20. Informa’s This Week in Fintech newspaper at Money20/20 recognized the VIP Salon as one of the top three activations at the show.

Frequently asked questions

How did guests join the VIP Salon without waiting in line?

Ubiquity's marketing team invited guests to reserve a priority window weeks in advance through a NextMe sign-up link, and leads could also scan the QR code at the booth to join the queue in person. Either way, guests chose a time window and received a text confirming their priority slot. No app was needed. NextMe then texted them as their window neared, so they spent the wait exploring the show instead of standing at the booth.

How does virtual queue management work at a tradeshow booth?

Guests join the queue from their phones, usually by scanning a QR code at the booth. They get text updates and can see their place in line on a branded waiting room page, then return to the booth when it is their turn. The sponsor gets scheduled, one-on-one time with each visitor instead of an unpredictable crowd.

How did Ubiquity capture leads from the salon?

Guests joined the queue with a business email address, and every guest opted in to marketing. That gave Ubiquity nearly 300 unique, permissioned contacts to follow up with.
