The challenge
Historically known for providing food service that’s worthy of a 2-hour wait, Lou Malnati’s realized that expanding their business with a similar formula doesn’t scale well. After opening up additional locations, they needed to ensure the same exceptional service while increasing the amount of dedicated diners at each new location.
The solution
Lou Malnati’s replaced the pagers it handed out to waiting diners with the NextMe app. Diners join the waitlist and get a text when their table is ready, so there’s no hardware to hand out, collect or replace.
The results
Lou Malnati’s shifted away from old technology and immediately saved upwards of $10,000 big ones by replacing the outdated waiting pagers with the NextMe app across all of their applicable 15 locations. While severing ties with expensive pagers, Lou Malnati’s retained more business with NextMe’s technology. The increased retention of customers extended peak hours by an additional 30 to 60 minutes.
